Where there is a will there is a way
Hello to you all,
Sorry I have not posted lately but I currently do not have much news to tell you, my wrist is in a cast so, much to my annoyance, I cannot film or do any photo shoots at the moment…
It horrified me initially as I could not imagine being unable to play for any length of time let alone the time it would take to heal…
Determined to still have my fun in the dungeon I simply carried on as normal!
The moral of the story is - if you want something enough you will find a way to have it so sessions still continue unaffected 7 days a week!
Cheap Calls to UK Mobiles
The cost of calls to mobiles from other mobiles are shockingly expensive. Did you know you can calla US mobiles from free to about 5p per minute from the UK, but calling a UK mobile to another one can be upto 35p per minute. So, ironically I can call a guy in California I know, half way around the world (waking him up) for less money than you can call your mum who lives down the street.
I had loads of suggestion from people of how I might get over this, like use my landline or use voip, with in combination with another service, or I just could upgrade the mobile package to include more minutes. The thing is I opted to go for a Pay As You Go model. Its doing spectacular, other than its a phone.
The salesman probably knew he was on to a hard sale when I went into his store and asked for a phone that is just a phone. He of course began to show me the latest models with TV on them, radios, MP3 players, Games and loads other pointless shit I don’t need. Funny enough, I want a phone that is a phone. My MP3 player is great for music but its a terrible phone and no amount of banging it on the desk makes it show TV pictures. There’s something at home for watching TV on, its called a TV Set. Quaint and old fashioned I know, but I’m an old fashioned traditional guy (yeah right).
So I’ve got the phone. Next, making calls. I nearly pissed myself when I saw what these companies are charging UK residents. I thought.. I’m supposedly a resourceful guy.. there most be a better way. I looked into using Voip, but this is dependent very much on the quality of the interest connection, which frankly in the UK can be very variable. (I sense making heads nodding). Secondly, Skype is actually quite expensive when you compare it to the other options and lastly I don’t want to be tied to any single computer.
I looked at calling from landlines, but I can’t really use my home line for us business and BT informed me that there was a 6 week delay and there will be yet another expense of getting it installed, and still I will be tied to a single location. I would sure spending £200 installation, £12 a month and all the call charges is a very good deal or will allow me to be mobile. The mobile phone does a better job of being mobile.
I must say I was starting to get a little be annoyed by now. Then I found 18185.co.uk mobile rates which are significantly cheaper than my phone operators. Once signed up with your credit or debit card. You do is use a freephone (0808) number, wait for the operator and dial the number you want to call. In which case it was a mobile and you can talk for longer without running out of call credit - as its going on my credit card. Its not free, but when is anything ever free or easy in life.
Anyhow thats another day wasted when I could had been doing something far more productive.
Lovely English Mansion
This young man has been dreaming of serving both ladies from the English Mansion. After an observation period it became clear that he wasn’t interested in working, but instead just wanking his pathetic tiny cock. One of the ladies caught the slave watching Mistress Natalie through a gap in the door as she was dressing. The loser was wanking his cock and making vulgar grunting noises. This guy really had to learn the hard way, through the application of punishment - a good caning by two Dominatrices.
Do you think this loser will ever learn at the English Mansion?
I reckon this guy has a long way to go… Find out how a slaves adventure ends at the English Mansion
Google Page Rank (PR)
About every 3 or 4 months Google appears to re-calculate a sites page ranking - ie, the position on a search results page. This obviously has consequences for web sites attracting the right sort of traffic and therefore advertising revenue drops. I find it bizarre for example, that this blog that has only had loads of content for a couple of months is ranked at PR2 and yet it gets 1/100th of the traffic that the mother side, sinsearch.com gets per day and its ranked PR3.
Whenever Google re-calculates its PR, I have noticed all sites I check seemed to have been nudged down 1 PR point. If you then follow this up by checking on Google Trends for an indicator of how popular the phrase “Mistress uk” has been, you’ll discover theres a definite downward trend.

In fact, its not just this one keyword, but many terms related to BDSM appear to have downward trends. There are of course exceptions to this rule. For example “Femdom” is relatively unchanged. On the surface it does appear to indicate a possible change in browsing behavior and its up to us as site owners to keep an eye on trends and so we can maximise any returns.
Marketing your web site
This is a very complex subject, that can easily be a whole suite of books in itself. In this article itself, I can only give you out lines and basic ideas as it can all get rather complicated. My head is full of this crap!
Organic Search Engine Optimisation – Basically this is about making your content interesting to search engines and be readable to them. Its important to mention at this point VLD automatically creates search engine friendly pages which gives you a massive head start. What this means is that it uses properly formed URL’s that search engines can understand. You see, unfortunately most search engines simply do not read pages generated by server software. So, it is really important to use the most appropriate server software as without it there’s absolutely no point even attempting any further search engine optimisation on your project.
Link Exchanges – This is a traditional or old fashioned method of improving a web sites ranking inside a search engine. Unfortunately, this methodology was thoroughly abused by many on line marketers that that built what we refer to as Link Farms; which were sites full of links but had no value added content itself and thus were eventually deemed to be as very low value by the search engines. There is absolutely no point in wasting your time doing hundreds of link exchange when a couple of dozen good ones would give exactly the same benefit in terms of page ranking or positioning inside the search engine.
Social Networking – Its wise to market your product or service by using social networking sites such as face book, myspace and sites like bebo. You can use the blogging facilities to write about your industry or work and link to your web site. People are generally moving away from blogging on the whole and is instead using the incorporated blogs inside these social networking platforms. For the time being it is also worth maintaining an independent blog at another locations as it gives you an additional web site that is linking into your business site.
Tube and Video Sharing – Its quite a popular activity at the moment for small business owners to create video’s or entertainment videos that may be sponsored or just advertising your particular business or affiliate web site. If you are not sure about doing video’s yourself (too shy?) then you could try hosting your own podcast shows around a related dating topic which could be sponsored by your business. Now imagine your podcasts being distributes via itunes, which gives you an idea of the marketing potential of using audio and video media to spread the word about your product on-line.
Blogging and Message boards – Despite blogging being no longer key to success, you still need to have a blog even if it gives you the credibility to comment on other peoples blogs and do link exchange between blogs. Even though these blogs may not be directly linking to your business side, they will be linking back to your industry blog that in turn will go to your business site. This is actually quite an effective method in funnelling traffic and targeting those most likely to buy to your web site. The same goes with message boards, as the more times your URL is mentioned on related web sites, the better your site will rank in the future. Remember the objective of web marketing isn’t to just attract the most visitors possible, the purpose is to target paying customers – thus 1000 buying customers is better than 100,000 visitors that buy nothing from you.
Paid Advertising – The best paid advertising solution that most people are familiar with is Google Adwords and Yahoo. Additionally its possible you may be able to find other sites that may to able to offer you banner advertising on a flat rate as opposed to the normal pay per click basis that often works out so expensive with Yahoo and Google.
Making a myspace section
I do like myspace, out of all the social networking platforms for me its the one that works best mainly because its not full of all those annoying applications that Facebook had. Though I did try to open a facebook account once and they wouldn’t have me. Ooops! Well, technically they might had done, but facebook is more set up for individual people rather than someone with a brand or identity; “sinsearch”
Any how I have been looking for ways to include my blog feed on the myspace profile without violating any terms and conditions; ie, only display post titles as opposed to the entire content. Normally its pretty easy to include the entire content as every wordpress blog comes with an outgoing news feed and myspace as a gadget to read them. But, I didn’t want to do this.
Instead what I did was to create a feedburner account and then just added my blog’s own feed to it, and then what you can do is use a section in feedburner to create a little widget under the publicize tab. You can play with the layout of the widget before getting the HTML code which you then copy into your myspace profile.

The thing is I did not want my widget to be inside an unrelated section like “Heros” or something like that. I wanted it to be in its own section. So the big question is how do you create one? The answer is very easy as it happens, though it requires adding a bit of HTML code to the end of one of the current sections; in my case I added it to the end of the Film section. You can find the code I used here.

All I did then is change the section name to “Blog Feed” and then paste in the feedburner code into where it says “section content”. Finally I centred the widget and padded it top/bottom with a couple of line breaks.

And this is all there is to it.
VLD Personals Software Review
There are several interesting pieces of classified scripts out there that range from $99 right through to programs that are in access of $5000. I won’t be talking about these high end programs as these are for the big boys, rather than normal people like you and me.
My favourite piece of dating software is a program called VLDPersonals that retails from $99 for a personal license and then once you have built up your business you can easily upgrade to a commercial one for another $99, or if you prefer you can just buy a single business licence for $199. The benefit of investing in a commercial license enables you to charge for memberships and banner space on your pages.
VLD Features:
- Fast, secure, and comprehensive dating software solution
- Completely template based and configurable layout through HTML
- Versatile billing system
- Search friendly URLs
- Customizable profile fields
- Personal photos
- Member Groups
- Instant Messaging, Private messaging
- Members; pictures, videos and audio files
- Social Networking facilities
- Blogs, guest books, polls and event calenders
- Banner management
- Content manager and forum integration
System requirements for VLD to run is: To have at least 6MB of available web space. To have PHP4.3 or higher, MySQL 4.0 or higher, GD library and ionCube Loaders installed on your server. Your server also must have MySQL grant privileges for tables to Create, Alter and drop tables – Some servers don’t actually allow this for supposedly security reasons, but I secretly think its more likely to be configurational reasons since those sorts of hosts may want to restrict usage by limiting these relatively more hungry web applications, rather than boring flat web pages that take little or almost zero computer processor resources.
Customisation of your dating software
If you are a programmer yourself or work with someone that is one then you should find modifying VLD straight forward and to be honest a joy to work with. I’ve worked with allot of software in my time and nothing even touches the quality of the VLD solution.
VLD do offer customisation on an hourly rate or alternatively you can hire a freelance programmer that has previously worked on the software that can do the work for you as well as incorporating any billing system you have decided to use.
Do be careful when hiring programmers that appear to be very cheap as it probably means that they may not be as experienced as you need. They may produce work that on the surface is fully functional, but you have no idea how they have left the software under the hood. They could have left the script in a completely insecure state and you would never know until a hacker breaks into your server and cripples your business.
I would heartily recommend hiring a programmer that speaks the same language as yourself rather than looking for the cheapest deal. You will regret it in the long term. Use VLD programmers for the ultimate security because its their software and with any one else you will be taking a chance with your business, your hosting server and your reputation.

Paypal Hell
What a hellish last couple of days I’ve had trying to deal with the company called Paypal that so many of us rely on for our bits of income. I used to rely on them more than I do now when the regulations weren’t so strict. I used to use paypal mostly for collecting payments from pay per view operators way back in the day when money was much easier to make.
Today, paypal as pretty much backed away from the adult industry. Just like other suppliers like Nochex, who built their reputations and financial wealth through adult processing, and then at a later date abandoned the very people that made them such a powerful entity. Its not necessarily their fault since both Visa and Mastercard had to place more costs/restrictions on retailers because of the large amount of fraud occurring. Whether its chip and pin, finger print recognition or having a DNA sequence is stored on the card, all of these can be faked. There’s no such thing as total security on-line for payment processors that are linked to your credit card or bank account.
I think any payment processor linked to a bank account is far more dangerous as money transferred from your account into paypal and then onto another third party retailer. This is simply not covered by the banks insurance, if you wish to make a claim. You might not get your money back at all by allowing paypal to use your bank account for funding purposes. It is far more secure to use a credit card for funding since if there’s a problem then because its not your money, you generally don’t have to pay for things that are in dispute until its resolved. The other big bonus is that if something iffy is going on with your paypal account you can block them permanently by simply phoning your card supplier.
Paypal actively encourages people to use a bank account and apart of the reason is money. It costs paypal far more to process funding request from credit cards than it does via a bank account. Also, money from a credit card is not guaranteed money, it can be taken back off paypal up to 6 weeks after the request, in form of a charge back. Where as a bank account is different, if takes up to 5 days to transfer the money, but when it arrives at paypal it is real money that exists entirely in their account to make interest from. Paypal makes enormous amounts of interest from just holding on to your money for longer than that is technical necessary. I think its a fair way of doing business, but it they should tell people its not the bank that has these delays, its Paypal.
For my particular problem, I had a paypal account that I’ve had for years and I wanted to close it down since many of the people that used to pay me via paypal stopped using it 2-3 years ago because of the various changes in the terms and conditions. So, last a while ago I logged in to my account to remove the current bank and credit card details, and thoroughly corrupted my address details and password. Finally I clicked the “close account” link and it said my account was closed. I thought that was it, after all when paypal says they’ve closed your account you expect it to be closed, right? Well, its not. They still keep all your information on their systems. This means that they have all your bank, credit card information and personal residential details stored on a computer connected to the internet, which is unbelievably insecure. In fact is down right insane and makes paypal a fantastic target for hackers; which it is of course.
Just in case you were wondering why I deleted/removed my account details. It was a vain attempt to make sure the data paypal continued to store beyond closure would be invalid and completely useless to any hacker. Only now I know actually removing this information myself didn’t do any thing as it is still recorded on the paypal computers. So, in essence when you join paypal they continue to hold all your information that you have ever entered through their system and there’s no way to get this removed. I find this a frightening prospect myself, don’t you?
Any way, I couldn’t access my old account and I don’t have all the old financial details. I routinely swap bank accounts every few years chasing those better deals and interest rates. Plus, also I’ve had to change my credit card once after it was cloned, bizarrely after shopping for something using a paypal transaction. Whilst I was sipping tea in the UK someone bought a laptop in little woods and within an hour bought 20 odd tickets for a Broadway show in the united states. There was no flight in between and so unless teleportation has been invented then you know your credit card number has been disputed to someone else too!
Early this month I received an email from paypal saying that my account (the one i closed months ago) was under restrictions. Hold on a minute I thought, how can I have an closed account under restrictions? Was because paypal didn’t really close it? maybe? So I called the expensive rip off line 0870 number paypal has which is routed to a call centre in India - who are all very polite and nice, but unless you give them the last 4 digits from a bank account or/and credit card you had years ago then they can’t help you. As most people that know me personally, I barely remember last week never mind what I did 3 years ago in July, on the 6th.
Luckily I found an old bank statement filled under miscellaneous which helped somewhat, but I didn’t have the old credit card information, and of course the credit company are not allowed to give that information out over the phone - quite rightly. I rang the paypal rip off line back again and gave the system the last 4 digits from my elderly bank account I once had and eventually got through to a human being after shouting “Agent” a few dozen times. I talked to this nice Indian lady who said she can’t put me through unless I also gave her some digits of the credit card number too. BUT I don’t FFF*** have it I thought.. No one has it or is willing to give it me over the phone. That call ended as politely as possible, though I was gritting my teeth and not having polite thoughts at all. I was thinking, paypal and me as psycho knifing paypal in the shower.
I called my credit card provider on a number that was still more expensive than a standard UK call but not as much as paypal rip off rates. Of course the credit card company couldn’t give me the old number over the phone for security reasons (i knew this! everyone knows this, even my nephew whose 4 - I told him). They said all they could give me was the last 4 digits. So I took them and wrote them down.
Then finally I rang paypal on technical support (08707 307 191) which i think is slightly different to customer support. Certainly the recorded voice and menu system was completely different. I tapped in the 4 digits of my credit card number that hasn’t exists for ages when the system prompted, praying paypal won’t also ask me for random digits of the full number further into the call. I explained my situation and this time the operator said he would email the development team to ask them to close the account for me. Now all I have to do is wait for the email.. Now.. oh oh why couldn’t they do that on the first call, before I had probably spent £10 on their rip off lines? Is it because paypal makes 1.5p per minute you think? Am I that cynical? Not usually, but who knows with paypal.
So.. The lesson is.. don’t imagine closing an account with paypal is going to be an easy thing to achieve! You may quite easily lose your mind, think bad thoughts and invent several interesting swear words. The swear box has made a small fortune from me today.
